Nissan North America Inc. is recalling 123,308 2013 model-year Altima vehicles because the spare tires may have been significantly over- or under-inflated, posing a safety risk, reported the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The recall covers Altimas manufactured March 21, 2012, through March 26, 2013. Nissan dealers will inspect and adjust the spare tire pressure, as necessary, free of charge.

The recall is expected to begin May 3. Owners can reach Nissan at 1-800-647-7261.
