The Automotive Fleet & Leasing Association (AFLA) is hosting a webinar on Thursday, March 28, that will cover what fleet management professionals can expect in terms of U.S. federal energy and environmental policy as it relates to fleets. The webinar, titled “What to Expect in President Obama's Second Term,” is presented by Kipp Coddington of Mowrey Meezan Coddington Cloud LLP, a firm specializing in energy and environmental law.

Energy policy topics covered in the webinar include the outlook for alternative fuel vehicle (AFV) and AFV infrastructure tax incentives, what new access to shale gas in the U.S. means for fleets, whether the U.S. congress will enact a carbon tax to fuel the Highway Trust Fund.

Environmental policy topics covered in the webinar include new tailpipe emissions standards for criteria pollutants and greenhouse gases, upcoming fuel composition requirements, and new National Ambient Air Quality Standards and how they mean for potential new state regulations.

The webinar will be held on Thursday, March 28, starting at 2:00 p.m. CST, and will run for one hour. The webinar is free for AFLA members and $30 for non-members. You can find out more about the webinar here.

AFLA is also continuing its 2013 membership drive. You can read about the benefits of membership on AFLA’s page here or join the organization here.
