Bobit Business Media announced that Kate Miller has left the company to pursue new opportunities. Miller had been publisher of Heavy Duty Trucking and was president of Newport Business Media when it was acquired by Bobit in May 2012. Bobit is in active recruitment for a new publisher and will have an announcement on new management shortly.

Acting as interim publisher is Sherb Brown, group publisher for Bobit's fleet titles and corporate vice president. Says Brown, "We had our eye on Heavy Duty Trucking for a long time and we couldn't have been happier when we were able to add it to our portfolio last year. As the world's largest fleet publisher now, we have so much to offer our customers: award-winning print publications, rich data from an integrated database across our fleet titles, and websites that are high traffic and high response. If you operate a fleet of any sort, you want to talk to us because we've got a program that fits just right."

The HDT team is on the road in the next few weeks for the industry's many springtime tradeshows and events. Besides the Mid-America Trucking Show and the ATA Technology and Maintenance Council Conference is a stop in New York City for the annual Jesse Neal Awards, where HDT is nominated for three awards in three categories. Says Brown, "HDT's editorial reputation is legendary. The team on HDT - editorial, sales, graphics, web - is so talented. I'm really looking forward to working more closely with them and getting into the field with them at these upcoming shows."

Bobit Business Media produces 24 B-to-B magazines and websites and 12 industry trade shows and conferences. It has several brands in the vehicle fleet market covering car and light truck fleets, transit bus and motorcoach fleets, and school bus fleets.
