Honda is recalling 748,481 2009-2013 model-year Pilot and 2011-2013 model-year Odyssey vehicles so that dealers can inspect the driver’s airbag module and replace it if necessary.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, one or more rivets that attach the airbag module to the airbag cover may be missing in these vehicles. The absence of more than one rivet could alter the performance of the driver’s airbag during deployment.

There will be no charge for the dealer services associated with the recall, which is expected to get under way around Feb. 16.

The recall covers Pilot and Odyssey vehicles manufactured from March 13, 2008, through Dec. 21, 2012.

Vehicle owners can reach Honda at 1-800-999-1009.
