Ford Motor Co. has offered rebates of $500-$1,000 on its Escape small sport/utility vehicle to boost sales, according to the Wall Street Journal. While the Escape has been one of the best-selling SUVs since its introduction two years ago, the Escape has had double-digit decline in sales the past three months. Ford will offer $500 rebates in most of the country, and up to $1,000 in selected regions where competition has been most aggressive.
