Fabrice Cambolive is appointed CEO of the Renault brand, effective February 1.
His role is to ensure brand transformation, development and profitability with the launch of 14 new vehicles by 2025, which has begun with the new Austral and Megane E-Tech and will be followed by reimagined versions of the Renault 4 and the Renault 5.
An experienced executive within the Renault Group, Cambolive joined the automaker in 1992 and has held various international sales and marketing positions for 20 years in Spain, Switzerland, France, Germany and Romania.
More recently, he was appointed vice president, sales and marketing for Russia and Eurasia region before being appointed as CEO of Renault do Brasil in 2015. His most recent appointment was in May last year as Renault brand COO.
Cambolive takes over from Luca de Meo, who now relinquishes brand responsibilities.
De Meo, CEO of Renault Group, said: "I am proud that Fabrice Cambolive, thanks to the strength of his 30-year experience within the group, is taking over the leadership of the Renault brand. His commitment, his international experience and his in-depth knowledge of the group will enable him to continue to ensure the brand's progress in high-value segments. I am counting on him to guide the teams throughout the deep transformation the Renault brand will undergo in the coming years.”
At the same time, Gianluca De Ficchy takes over as CEO of Renault's Mobilize unit. He will be responsible for Mobilize Financial Services and Mobilize Beyond Automotive brands.
