New Senior Managers Ready to Lead CARS Recon Inc.

Capital Automotive Reconditioning Service (CARS Recon, Inc.), a national vehicle reconditioning company for auction operations, announced July 1 it restructured its senior management team.

• Becky Anderson will serve as president of CARS Recon and be responsible for daily operations while overseeing the company’s strategy and planning.
• Helping her will be Philip Hill, senior vice President of finance/administration and Ed Gilley, senior vice president of operations.
• Ron Hope will remain as CEO and Board Chairman but will not be directly involved in the daily activities of the company.

Anderson joined CARS Recon, Inc. in 2021 and has been serving as director of operations and client services. She is enthusiastic and assertive with a passion for improving the client experience through building strong relationships and a willingness to adapt to a changing environment, the company said.

Hill has been with CARS Recon for 14 years. He started in accounts receivable while he was earning his Master of Accounting degree. Since then, he has held several positions in the company and was promoted to senior vice president of finance & administration in 2017.

Gilley joined the CARS team seven years ago and has served in various operational roles with our detail and body shop. Before joining the team, Gilley served for many years as an operations manager for a large auction group. The production, process and operational expertise he brings to the team provides value to employees and clients. 

Hope said this management team is poised to take CARS Recon to new levels. “We are a company of almost 20 years, and we take pride in striving to be better today than we were yesterday and better tomorrow than we are today, in all of our endeavors,” he said in a news release.

Since 2003, CARS has reconditioned more than eight million vehicles for auctions throughout America and has grown from 12 employees to more than 400 full-time employees at shops throughout 10 states across the country, in addition to a presence in the U.K., according to its website.
