Denver-based medium-duty electric vehicle operator Fluid Truck announced in a statement it’s received one of Ford’s first E-Transits off the production line. The company’s expansion of its EV lineup comes on the heels of a study released by Kelly Blue Book showing a 69% increase in Americans considering EVs since January, coinciding with the rise in gas prices.
Ford’s decision to send Fluid Truck one of its first EVs off the production line will lead to quicker widespread EV adoption, according to the statement. The technology-based platform turns electric vehicles into shared assets among businesses, offering companies the opportunity to add EVs to their fleets without the high overhead costs of trying to buy an EV.
“We are focused on enabling sustainable mobility for all businesses" said James Eberhard, founder and CEO of Fluid Truck. "No business should be left behind because they can’t access or purchase electric vehicles right now. The time to evolve is here. We are excited to see Ford’s strong entrance into the commercial EV space and we look forward to growing our fleet together with them.”
