TPC Management Company, specializing in consulting and management recruiting within the automotive industry, has added Ray’s Southern Auto Auction to its roster of auto auction clients, the company announced March 7.

For more than 20 years, TPC has provided consulting programs to a variety of automotive related companies, including independent auto auctions, technology concerns, investment companies and transportation companies. TPC assignments are primarily with privately held businesses engaged in various aspects of the wholesale automotive remarketing, working closely with business owners and key management personnel to increase revenues and implement operational efficiencies to enhance performance.

Ray McMahan, the auction’s owner and president, said in a news release, “TPC Management's many years of experience in the industry, coupled with their expertise in business practices and relationship management will be of great benefit to us as we expand our own operations.”

“Our entire auction team is prepared for an exciting new phase in our growth and development,” said Jamie White, auction vice president and general manager.

Ray’s Southern Auto Auction has served the Southeast since its founding in 1958.  It holds an auction twice weekly, on Mondays and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m., offering vehicles both in the lane and online via Edge Pipeline. The facility, which sits on 24 acres, offers a full complement of services to its customers, including detail and reconditioning, condition reporting, pre- and post-sale inspections, floor plan financing, mechanical services and nationwide transportation.

“Ray’s Southern Auto Auction has a long and well-established history of service to the dealer community in the Greensboro, North Carolina market as well as throughout the Southeast,” said Jiles Wanna, vice president of client services at TPC Management. “A fixture in the wholesale market for more than six decades, Ray’s Auto Auction is primed to expand its presence, offering services to new and used car dealers as well as commercial accounts. We are looking forward to working with them all to expand their reach to buyers and sellers in the region.”
