Hyundai’s luxury brand Genesis is launching into Europe, commencing sales operations in the UK, Germany and Switzerland in 2021.

Having already been present in Korea and the U.S. for several years, this is the first time the Genesis nameplate is taking on Europe, promising exceptional customer service over sales targets through what the company terms the ‘Genesis difference’.

This ‘difference’ includes transparent pricing, direct to public digital sales and special Genesis Studios which are opening in London, Munich and Zurich. In addition there is the promise of a Genesis Personal Assistant to account manage customers through vehicle inlife without the requirement to visit a dealer. Ever. Period.

Coming first to the UK is the Genesis G80 sedan and the Genesis GV80 SUV, which can be ordered June onwards. These vehicles will be followed by new G70 and GV70 shortly after as well as an electric version of the G80, premiered at April’s Auto Shanghai, China. There’s more to come, says Genesis, with two further electric vehicles, one built on a dedicated electric platform, to provide the choice of three zero emission autos.

What about Genesis Fleet Sales?

Genesis spokespeople were keen to concentrate on brand rollout rather than specifics at this stage, but with electric vehicles in the line-up, fleet sales would be a natural fit in a rapidly expanding market. Auto sales of battery electric vehicles are currently running at 7% of the UK market, new figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders reports today.

Supporting the notion of a fleet presence for the brand, the company is advertising for a Business Development Manager, whose remit includes optimising all sales channels, including corporate, as well as providing Genesis Europe Fleet with data and insights for potential opportunities.
