Since President Joe Biden’s announcement that the federal fleet would transition to zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs), the General Services Administration (GSA) has announced that it has made “early progress” in the transition.
Since inauguration day, the administration has acquired more ZEVs than in the whole previous fiscal year, according to the White House. It is on track to triple the number of total ZEVs added to the fleet this year, compared to last year.
As part of this April 22 announcement, the White House also provided guidance on how grants can be used to deploy charging infrastructure and announced new funding and partnerships for charger-related research and development.
