Networking and peer sharing have been a key part of the fleet industry since its inception. If you wanted to learn about new technologies, new vehicles, new service providers, or just complain about how your management was treating you and your team, there has never been a shortage of opportunities for fleet professionals to get together and compare notes. COVID has obviously changed all that for us currently but that doesn’t mean you have to give up the opportunity to grow, learn, and get better at managing your fleet.
NAFA and AFLA, our two largest industry associations have both pivoted away from planned live events to provide their content online now. If you couldn’t attend in person or didn’t have the budget to travel across the country to meet with your peers at these events, now you can pay $300-$400 and get some of that same experience without leaving your office (or home more likely).
If you want a deep dive into a lot of great content on specific areas of the industry, you can register and participate for free in our Government Fleet Experience, our Fleet Safety Experience, The Fleet Forward Experience, or our Conference of Automotive Remarketing.
Product launches, technological innovations, and regulatory changes are still happening. They aren’t taking a break for COVID and neither should you.
While we can’t replicate the in-person networking opportunities (or the open bars) with an online event, we can offer a staggering amount of content and information to help you do your job better. And for the first time in history, you can do all of that without leaving your home.
If you are like most fleet professionals, you are the single source of fleet expertise in your organization. There aren’t many real fleet “departments” left. And that means you might be the single point of failure or the likely single source to blame when things go bad. So take this opportunity to learn as much as you can from our online experiences. It’s a greatest time ever to earn a fleet PhD while learning from the best in business about how they are tackling today’s issues.
There are at least six companies bringing fleet spec EVs to the market in the next 12-18 months. There are over 30 new fleet spec ICE trucks and vans being introduced in 2021. There are incredible new products being released by the FMCs, the telematics providers, and the remarketers. It’s a lot to keep track of but participating in these online collaborations will go a long way toward helping you navigate through these challenging times.
As always, we’re here to help and we look forward to seeing you soon (through a camera lens on your computer for now).
