Vehicle logistics provider United Road deployed technology-enabled solutions to simplify vehicle moves amid the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as offered customers touchless delivery and pick-up, repositioning support, storage options, and more.

United Road transported and stored vehicles from railheads and ports to allow for delivery of essential goods and moved critically needed heavy-duty trucks to service providers in critical industries such as grocery and medical suppliers, the company said. As businesses re-open, United Road is using rapid-response technology solutions and touch-free delivery among other strategies to help customers get on the road to economic recovery.

• Technology-enabled solutions that put information including pricing and vehicle tracking in customer hands, on their smartphones in real time.
• Touch-free delivery.

United Road supports a diverse customer base: OEMs, dealerships, rental companies, auctions including virtual, financial institutions, industry and construction, fleet operators, individual and specialty vehicle owners, and, more.

Employee well-being and customer safety continue to be paramount at United Road, according to the company. Safety precautions include digital communication and transactions that enable customers and car haulers to avoid signatures and sharing devices at time of delivery.
