PSA Group will set up an assembly plan in South Africa in an effort to sell more cars in the region.

The French automaker announced a joint venture with Namibia Development Corp. to begin establishment of the plant, according to Africa Business Chief.

PSA Group will produce OPEL Grandland X and Peugeot 3008 in the second half of 2018, according to Xinhua Net. The French automaker also targeted a volume of 5,000 units by 2020 to meet market demand of the South African Countries Union.
