February 20, 2018

Nissan has released its Qashqai crossover in South Africa with various premium enhancements, the company announced.

Enhancements include the addition of Nisan Intelligent Mobility technology, improved performance, and improved interior quality.

Nissan Intelligent Mobility features include blind spot warning, emergency braking, forward collision warning, around view monitor, intelligent cross traffic alert, and moving object detection.

As for performance, handling and steering have been improved to offer better ride comfort and calmer body motion, according to the company. Interior noise has also been reduced in the model being offered to South Africa.

The exterior will also feature the latest incarnation of Nissan’s V-motion grill as well as new 17-inch and 19-inch alloy wheels.

Pricing for the Qashqai will start at around 334,900 South African Rand (roughly $28,520) for the base model and will cap out at 434,000 South African Rand ($36,959).

The Nissan Qashqai first launched in 2007, since then it has sold roughly 3.3 million units worldwide.
