PSA Group has selected Atlanta, Ga., as the location for its new North American headquarters, after announcing in 2016 plans for the automaker to return to the U.S. market.

The headquarters, which will be located in Fulton County, will be operational by February 2018, according to the automaker. With the return to the U.S., PSA Group has planned three phases of action in its Push to Pass strategic plan: mobility services, mobility services with PSA Group vehicles, and finally retail sales.

The first step is already underway via the Free2Move aggregation platform that was launched October 2017 in Seattle, before being rolled into other cities, the automaker announced. This application allows users to choose between a wide range of car, scooter and bike sharing transportation services.

A team has been set up to build the strategy and steer its execution. The decision to locate in Atlanta came after a yearlong, nationwide search to find the optimal balance of business environment, standard of living and workforce, according to the automaker.
