Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is recalling 1,242 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk SUVs — each equipped with a 6.2L Supercharged Engine — because their fuel lines may separate, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

If the fuel line separates, the engine may stall and increase the risk of a crash, NHTSA said. Moreover, a fuel line separation increases the risk of an engine compartment fire.

Jeep dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the fuel line. There will be no charge for this service.

The recall is expected to begin March 2. Vehicle owners can reach FCA customer service at (800) 853-1403. The automaker’s number for this recall is U02.
