Volkswagen Group of America is recalling 9,102 2010- to 2013-model year Audi A8 vehicles because of potential power loss or engine stalling, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The vehicles in the recall were manufactured from May 15, 2010, to May 14, 2012. They have a coolant valve that may leak, allowing coolant to enter the engine control module.

Audi dealers will replace the coolant valve and check to see whether coolant has leaked through the electrical connector. There will be no charge for this service.

The recall is expected to begin Oct. 19. Vehicle owners can reach Audi customer service at (800) 253-2834.
