Fuso has refined the model’s engine to achieve the highest level of fuel efficiency in Japan. It has achieved a 10% improvement over the 2015 heavy-duty vehicle fuel efficiency standards, according to the company.

The Canter also features Hill Start Assist, which prevents a truck from rolling downwards when it is started on a slope. It also has an upgraded DUONIC 2.0 that offers a modified dual clutch that significantly improves comfort and operability.

The new light-duty truck is the first update since the 2010 model.
