Jaguar Land Rover North America is issuing two separate safety recalls affecting nearly 66,000 vehicles, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The largest recall of the two involves 65,352 2013-2016 model-year Range Rover and 2014-2016-MY Range Rover Sport SUVs whose doors may unlatch unexpectedly when closed. To fix the problem, dealers will update the keyless entry software, free of charge. Land Rover's number for this recall is P068.

The smaller of the two recalls covers 492 2012-2013-MY Land Rover LR4 SUVs. Because the wrong primer was used, the panoramic roof adhesive may fail to adequately secure the roof assembly. As a result, the roof assembly may detach from the vehicle.

Dealers will apply the correct primer to resolve the problem, NHTSA said. Land Rover’s number for this recall is P065.

Both recalls are expected to get under way Aug. 7. Vehicle owners can reach Land Rover customer service at (800) 637-6837.
