Bosch Australia will expand its headquarters after sales reached $329.5 million (300 million euro) during its first six months in the Australian market, the company reported.

The company has also announced that its president, Gavin Smith, will be one of the 15 members for the Australia-Germany Advisory Group. The group held its first working session on July 10 in Berlin.

The Australia-Germany Advisory Group was established by German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Australian Prime Minister Tony Abott in November 2014.

Bosch is already involved with a variety of projects in Australia, including a recently opened center for trailer safety and a team of engineers that applies itself to the areas of energy and rail.

"Our objective is to open up new market segments in Australia with innovative solutions and technologies," Smith said.
