Debi McClendon retired from her role as fleet manager of Syngenta in December.

McClendon retired after 35 years of service with the company, which is headquartered in Greensboro, N.C. She served as fleet manager for 14 years, managing a sales and service delivery fleet of 1,800 vehicles in the U.S. and approximately 200 vehicles in Canada.

Before entering fleet management, McClendon worked in various accounting positions, such as budget manager for the IT department, inventory accountant, and T&E analyst. Syngenta AG is a global Swiss agribusiness that was formed in 2000 by the merger of Novartis Agribusiness and Zeneca Agrochemicals.

McClendon is very active with the NAFA Fleet Management Association (currently NAFA Eastern Region trustee) and Automotive Fleet & Leasing Association (AFLA).
