As a tribute to the late Ed Bobit, the Automotive Fleet & Leasing Association (AFLA) plans on honoring the Bobit Business Media and AFLA founder during a ceremony at the 2014 Annual Conference this September in Las Vegas.

Bobit founded AFLA in 1969 by putting together a group of fleet-minded professionals in Toronto, Canada. Now, 45 year later, the Association will pay tribute to this visionary by commemorating Bobit in a special ceremony on Tuesday, September 9, 2014. AFLA will highlight Bobit's 50-plus years of service to the fleet industry, including his accomplishments within the Association and with his company, Bobit Business Media.

Bobit passed away on June 29 at the age of 86. Last summer Bobit had undergone valve-replacement surgery and had been working primarily from home. He died peacefully in his sleep.
