LeasePlan USA, a high-touch service provider of vehicle leasing and fleet management solutions, was named by Great Place to Work as one of the best workplaces in the United States on their annual 2013 Best Small & Medium Workplaces list, published today in FORTUNE magazine.

Competing against hundreds of companies across the country, LeasePlan USA participated in a rigorous selection process, which included an employee survey and an in-depth questionnaire about benefits programs and company practices. Great Place to Work evaluates each application using its unique methodology based on five dimensions: credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie.

In compiling the list, Great Place to Work has found that employees believe they work for great organizations when they consistently trust the people they work for, have pride in what they do and enjoy the people they work with.

“The LeasePlan culture is based on the four key values of passion, expertise, respect and commitment. These core values are exemplified every day through each employee at LeasePlan and through our delivery of high-touch service excellence for every client,” said Michael A. Pitcher, president and CEO. “It has been an honor to be published in FORTUNE magazine as one of the best workplaces in the United States by Great Place to Work. It is times like these that makes me proud to be a part of a company that has passion for the business and a tremendous respect for its clients.”

LeasePlan is currently celebrating its 50th year of making “it easier to leaseplan.” LeasePlan’s 50 years of expertise helps bring high-touch service to every client. In addition to expertise, LeasePlan developed a committee called LeasePlan Cares to focus its community support on the Atlanta Children’s Shelter and Shelter Inc. LeasePlan Cares is passionate about the community and recently donated a school bus to the Atlanta Children’s Shelter.

LeasePlan also has a committee dedicated to creating an enjoyable work environment for employees called the Fun at Work Committee. The members of the Fun at Work committee create memorable events, such as a Friday Tailgate to kick off college football season, to produce a happy work atmosphere for all employees.

“The companies appearing on our Best Small & Medium Workplaces list help us achieve our mission by presenting others with an example to emulate. These companies demonstrate that being an excellent employer leads to business success, ” said Robert Levering, CEO and Co-founder of Great Place to Work.

“While these companies may be relatively small in headcount, many of them provide services to some of the country’s largest and most notable organizations, suggesting that success has not so much to do with size as with the quality of service and experience a company provides. A great workplace, full of great employees, is better equipped to achieve that success.”
