GM said its upcoming Cadillac ELR extended-range electric luxury coupe is undergoing winter weather testing in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. More than four inches of snow fell during testing, helping the team complete its evaluations, according to GM.

The automaker is evaluating how the car handles in winter weather, validating the final specs on the ELR’s steering, tires, anti-lock brakes, traction control, electronic stability control, and Continuous Damping Control suspension. Continuous Damping Control suspension adjusts damping every two milliseconds, helping the vehicle maintain optimal control in different road conditions.
