DETROIT - Presented by Bobit Business Media's stable of fleet industry publications, top 2010 fleet management honors were awarded yesterday in a special ceremony at the NAFA Fleet Management Institute and Expo.

The award winners include:

Alley's 240-member staff manages and services more than 4,000 vehicles for the City of San Diego. He led the effort to restructure the City's fleet organization, saving San Diego, in part, more than $11 million in a vehicle reduction program. The Public Sector Fleet Manager of the Year award is sponsored by Government Fleet magazine, Automotive Resources International (ARI), and Fleet Counselor Services.

A 36-year industry veteran, Sims manages a global fleet of 12,800 vehicles. The award is sponsored by Automotive Fleet magazine, Wheels Inc., and the Automotive Fleet and Leasing Association (AFLA).

Lahr directs a fleet of 2,900 vehicles for LKQ, a national provider of aftermarket collision replacement, recycled OEM parts, and refurbished OEM collision replacement products. He also head corporate purchasing programs. The Fleet Executive of the Year Award is sponsored by Fleet Financials magazine and CEI.
