GOTHENBURG, SWEDEN - The 2009 Volvo Corporate Report, a comprehensive description of Volvo Cars' operations, is combined with sustainability reporting. The approach to sustainable business is illustrated using three focus areas - Safety, Environmental Care, and Profitability - where each section includes key figures and results from the past year as well as describes the vision for the future.

Although Volvo Car Corporation has published no less than seven previous reports in the area of sustainability, the scope has now been broadened to include a full corporate description of Volvo Cars.

"For us sustainability is an integral part of our business and cannot be seen as an isolated focus area. I believe that it is more important than ever before to work proactively with sustainability issues and demonstrate tangible results" says Stephen Odell, president and CEO of Volvo Car Corporation.

Recurring themes in the Corporate Report are the significance of cooperation and partnerships, as well as the importance of Volvo Cars' employees and team work to be successful. As a complement to the descriptive part of the report, a fact based section is available with sustainability data and financial indicators such as revenue, profit before tax and sales figures.

More information about Volvo Cars' work with sustainability issues including how the company complies with Global Reporting Initiative guidelines can be found at www.volvocars.com/sustainability.
