AUBURN HILLS, MI – Audi of America, Inc.’s auto sales for the month of June totaled 8,203, an increase of 5.3 percent from last year’s figures; the brand also expects to record an increase in market share for the month. Audi Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) sales continued their record-setting trend; compared with last year’s June figures, CPO sales rose to 2,787 units, an increase of 23.6 percent.

 

Nationwide, Audi sales of the A4 jumped 34.3 percent, demonstrating excitement around the brand in advance of the release of the all-new A4 in September. The brand has seen consistent movement throughout 2008: Audi has reported strong car (sedan and sports car) sales throughout the year, citing high dealer traffic amid rising levels of brand awareness and consideration. In June, Audi posted the greatest ranking improvement in initial quality in the results from J.D. Power and Associates’ 2008 industry-wide study.

To date, Audi has sold 45,023 vehicles in 2008, a 1.5-percent decrease over the previous year; CPO sales for 2008 total 18,241, an increase of 41.7 percent over 2007.
