LeasePlan USA Donates 2,000 Trees to GreenPlan

January 25, 2008

ALPHARETTA, GA – LeasePlan USA has pledged to plant 2,000 trees with American Forests, a world leader in planting trees for environmental restoration, as part of GreenPlan. The trees will be planted on behalf of 95 employees that were honored through LeasePlan’s “front row” parking recognition program during 2007. The program is a way to recognize employees for demonstrating proactive service excellence when working with internal and external clients and living LeasePlan’s employee values.

In August of 2006, LeasePlan USA partnered with American Forests to launch GreenPlan, a fleet carbon offsetting program where companies can counteract carbon emissions from their corporate fleet vehicles through tree planting. With the introduction of GreenPlan in the United States, LeasePlan USA joined other LeasePlan Corporation subsidiaries in a global commitment to raise awareness of carbon offsetting.
