The Electric Vehicle Symposium (EVS) Arrives in Anaheim

ANAHEIM, CA – Small, medium, large battery-powered, hybrid, plug-in hybrid and fuel cell electric drive vehicles ranging from scooters, motorcycles, cars, trucks, vans, buses, etc. were displayed at the Anaheim Convention Center where the 23rd Electric Vehicle Symposium (EVS) and Exposition series was held.

The Electric Drive Transportation Association (EDTA) hosted the event which runs through Dec. 5.

Inside Exhibit Hall, the EVS showcased the global electric transportation industry and recognized all forms of technologies in the marketplace from low-speed battery-electric vehicles to fuel cell electric buses. The event has drawn attendees from throughout the world to explore and learn about the latest electric transportation technologies.

125 Exhibitors included:

  • Domestic and international vehicle manufacturers.

  • Off-road, industrial, heavy-duty and bus manufacturers.

  • Fuel cell, battery, and drive-train suppliers.

  • Electricity, hydrogen, and other fuel suppliers.

  • Automotive, industrial and heavy-duty component suppliers.

  • Government agencies and laboratories.

  • Universities with breakthrough technology programs.

  • Industry, environmental, and consumer associations.

    Throughout the EVS event, about 250 presentations cover all facets of electric drive, including vehicles, energy storage, infrastructure, research and development and policy.

    General Motors sponsored a two-day Ride-and-Drive that allowed attendees to test drive battery, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and fuel cell electric cars, trucks, and other vehicles.
