MT. LAUREL, N.J. – Automotive Resources International (ARI), a global fleet solutions provider specializing in complex car and truck fleets, has developed a system that enables fleet managers to stay current with constantly-changing state and local motor vehicle licensing and compliance regulations.

Automotive Title and License Administration System(ATLAS), is a new feature of ARI insights, the comprehensive online fleet management information system introduced earlier this year by the fleet management leader.

According to Tim Delaney, director of ARI’s Licensing & Compliance group, a client can ascertain the company’s licensing and compliance status in real-time through personalized access to this information. Once inside the ATLAS map, the client can:

  • Check the latest government requirements for initial licensing, renewals, state changes, and violations.

  • Track the real-time progress of current licensing transactions, including permits for heavy-duty trucks as well as city and county permits (Virginia, Illinois, and the five boroughs of New York City).

  • Review company’s vehicle licensing history as well as prior licensing processes.

  • Receive automated e-mail notification of licensing, titling, and registration renewal events.

Delaney points out that ATLAS delivers “the best technological tools possible for facilitating clients’ regulatory compliance and keeping business moving without interruption.”

The system generates the latest alternative-fuel incentive information and provides links to various state Department of Energy Alternative Fuels Data Center pages. ATLAS can also track requirements in such states as California and Utah, which allow emission testing after registration is paid. The ARI system expedites the entire process, thus avoiding penalties for late filings that result from driver delays in emission testing.
