November 12, 2007

ONTARIO, CA – Phoenix Motorcars, a California-based electric vehicle company will join SNUGTOP as an exhibitor at the SEMA show, attended by more than 100,000 automobile industry buyers. Phoenix Motorcars and SNUGTOP recently formed a partnership to provide the SnugLid tonneau cover as an OEM product for Phoenix’s all-electric sports utility truck (SUT).

The SEMA Show will be held Oct. 30 through Nov. 2 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

SNUGTOP’s booth, 31137, will be located in the trucks, SUVs, and off-road hall and will feature the Phoenix SUT. Phoenix Motorcars has taken orders for more than 500 fleet-ready vehicles for 2008 delivery to premier fleet companies. A limited number of vehicles will be available to consumers in 2009 with an expanded consumer launch scheduled for 2010.

Phoenix’s advanced battery-electric, zero-emission SUT can travel at freeway-speeds while carrying five passengers and a full payload. The vehicle exceed all specifications for a Type III ZEV. Having a driving range of more than 100 miles, it is equipped with a non-toxic Altairnano NanoSafe lithium-titinate battery, which can be recharged in less than 10 minutes and has a battery pack with a life of greater than 250,000 miles.
