BMW CEO Says DaimlerChrysler Welcome to Join BMW-Peugeot Engine Tie-Up

FRANKFURT – Bayerische Motoren Werke AG chief executive Norbert Reithofer said DaimlerChrysler AG is welcome to join an existing BMW joint venture with PSA Peugeot Citroen to develop and produce a family of small gasoline engines, according to

“If Daimler is interested, the door is open. A third partner would bring more significant synergy effects,” Reithofer told the Handelsblatt newspaper.
