FRANKFURT – Ralph Weyler, the head of marketing and sales at Volkswagen AG's Audi subsidiary, will not be replaced, Audi said, according to www.Forbes.com, denying a report by Der Spiegel magazine that he will not receive an extension of his contract beyond 2008.

Ousting Weyler “is not a subject of discussion” an Audi spokesman said to Forbes.com.

The magazine reported Audi supervisory board members are dissatisfied with overseas car sales, which fall under Weyler's responsibility, and are seeking to let his current contract expire, according to excerpts of an article to be published. Der Spiegel cited unidentified Audi board members.
