Whitman Joins LeasePlan USA as National Sales VP, Mid-Market

ALPHARETTA, GA – LeasePlan USA has appointed Buck Whitman to national sales vice president, mid-market, effective Sept. 6. He will report directly to Jon Toups, national vice president, sales, marketing and client relations.

Whitman will be responsible for directing the mid-market team, which focuses sales efforts on fleets ranging in size from 50 to 500 vehicles. Over the past year, the mid-market team has experienced tremendous sales growth, leading to an 80 percent increase in sales staff.

Whitman’s 25 years of sales experience includes managing teams ranging in size from five to 100 members. His 13-year career in the fleet industry began at PHH where he was a sales representative for Manhattan and New Jersey. After four years, he was promoted to vice president, client relations for the same territory. Most recently, Whitman was with GE Fleet as vice president, financial solutions, national accounts.
