DES PLAINES, IL
- Wheels, Inc., a fleet leasing company, announced that it ranked 61 on the 2007 InformationWeek 500 revealed at a gala awards ceremony, part of the exclusive InformationWeek 500 conference in Tucson, Ariz. Wheels has ranked in the top 500 every year since 2001; this year marked Wheels entry into the top 100 ranking within the InformationWeek 500, according to the company.
"We are completely committed to leveraging information technology to deliver measurable value to our customers nationwide," said Steven Loos, Wheels CIO. "That is the focus of every technology initiative and we're extremely pleased that this commitment is reflected in our selection for the seventh consecutive year to the InformationWeek 500."
"We'd like to extend our sincere congratulations to all InformationWeek 500 honorees. These companies represent today's leading technology innovators, many of whom have joined us this week," said InformationWeek Vice President and Publisher, John Siefert. "This group has prompted fascinating discussion on some of the most forward looking business technology initiatives to date."
For nearly 20 years, InformationWeek has identified and honored the nation's most innovative users of information technology with its annual listing. The list is unique among corporate rankings because it spotlights the power of innovation in information technology, rather than simply identifying the biggest IT spenders.
