Wireless Matrix Signs Cable Industry Customer

May 15, 2007

RESTON, VA –Wireless Matrix Corporation has signed a contract with a cable services firm for an initial deployment of its FleetOutlook solution across more than 80 vehicles in its service fleet. The firm has approximately 5,000 vehicles in its fleet nationwide. The FleetOutlook solution, delivered as “software as a service,” is a fleet management application that combines vehicle monitoring and mapping capability with an in-vehicle GPS, WiFi, and hardware communications platform. It is designed to improve fleet performance while reducing vehicle-operating costs.

Under terms of the agreement, the customer will purchase the FleetOutlook solution to support field operations centered on location and prevention of damage to underground utility equipment, ranging from cable and telecommunications lines to electric, gas, water, and sewer structures.

Wireless Matrix Corporation’s deployment will also utilize FleetOutlook’s optional vehicle telematics reporting for fleet vehicles. This technology records the operational parameters of the vehicle for reporting and analysis
