Goodyear to Raise Tire Prices

March 12, 2007

AKRON, OHIO – Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. will raise prices on all of its consumer tires up to 4 percent and its OTR tires up to 5 percent Apr. 1, according to Modern Tire Dealer magazine. Price hikes will cover all brands, according to a Goodyear spokesperson. Goodyear has already sent a letter to its dealers alerting them to the increases. The price increases were necessary due to increased costs in raw materials and transportation, according to Goodyear.
