Conroy Named President of AFLA

ALPHARETTA, GA – Mark Conroy, national sales vice president, mid-market for LeasePlan USA, was named president of the Automotive Fleet & Leasing Association (AFLA) at its 2006 Annual Meeting and Conference in September. Prior to his role as president, Conroy served as executive vice president. In 2004, he was elected director of lessors and then went on to be elected vice president in 2005.

Conroy said, “AFLA is gaining tremendous momentum as a truly focused and dedicated industry organization that provides a top forum for fleet management professionals.”Conroy and the AFLA board, which includes Executive Vice President Elsie Lucia, from Estee Lauder, and Vice President Mike Antich, from Automotive Fleet magazine, plan to continue this momentum.During Conroy’s one-year tenure, he and the AFLA board hope to increase member value through education, increase membership attendance at the 2007 Annual Conference by 30 percent, and add sponsorship-member merit through a comprehensive Web site resource library. They also plan to form strategic alliances with industry partners that can bring value to the membership. The next AFLA Annual Conference will be held Sept. 5-7, 2007, in Tucson, Ariz.
