In Memoriam:James Wilkinson: 1933-2006

WEST PHILADELPHIA – James E. Wilkinson, retired transportation manager for General Electric, died of cancer Sept. 21, 2006, at his home in West Philadelphia. He was 73. Wilkinson started his career in the maintenance department of General Electric Co. in Philadelphia in the 1950s, and remained with the company for 31 years. He was eventually promoted to transportation manager for General Electric’s Space Division in King of Prussia, Pa., where he was in charge of a fleet of more than 100 vehicles. He retired in 1991.
