PHH FirstFleet Helps Launch New Group Volunteer Program in South Florida

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL – On Aug. 18, more than 30 Fort Lauderdale-based PHH FirstFleet employees, led by Senior Vice President Hal Booth, helped Broward Partnership for the Homeless (BPHI) launch its new group volunteer program, “EGADS!” or “Everyone Gives A Day of Service.”Each year, PHH FirstFleet employees participate in a day of community service together. BPHI is a 200-bed, emergency housing facility for homeless men, women, and families with children, as well as a 62-bed transitional housing facility for elderly homeless people who are disabled.PHH FirstFleet employees cleaned and landscaped the facilities, prepared and served lunch for BPHI’s 200 residents, cleaned and painted the library, and created a bright mural for the dormitory common room. PHH FirstFleet employees also collected clothing, personal care products, and other items for the facility. In addition, Booth presented a check for $500 to Frances Esposito, executive director of BPHI.
