ATLANTA – John H. Willis, fleet assistant for Cox Enterprises in Atlanta, passed away Aug. 7, 2006. He was a graduate of The Citadel in Charleston, S.C., and served in the U.S. Army with tours in Korea, Vietnam, and with his final tour of duty as liaison officer with the Japanese Self Defense Force while on assignment with the American Embassy in Tokyo. He earned the Bronze Star and The Legion of Merit, retiring as a lieutenant colonel. He also retired from Rollins, Inc. as fleet manager and was employed by Cox Enterprises until his passing. He is survived by his wife, Connie Willis, and sons, John H. Willis, Jr. and Donald B. Willis.
