Hill Approved as FMCSA Administrator

August 8, 2006

WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Aug. 3, the United States Senate confirmed John H. Hill to be the next Administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA)), according to the Truck Renting and Leasing Association (TRALA). President Bush nominated Hill for the position on May 16. Hill previously served as the assistant administrator and chief safety officer for FMCSA, and prior to that, he served as major, Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division for the Indiana State Police.
