Sara Lee Fleet Manager to Retire End of July

CHICAGO – Lynn Salopek, category manager, corporate cars for Sara Lee Corp., will retire July 31, 2006. She worked for Sara Lee for nearly 22 years, of which 21 were in fleet. Salopek manages approximately 1,000 sales vehicles and 340 executive vehicles. Prior to joining Sara Lee, Salopek worked at a direct marketing company for four years and prior to that with a local bank four years. Neither position was fleet-related. Salopek has been involved with the National Association of Fleet Administrators (NAFA) since she began her career in fleet in 1985. She has held a variety of positions on the NAFA Board of Governors and has served a number of times as the chairperson of the NAFA Chicago Chapter.“I have loved my job and this wonderful company for all of my years here and will truly miss it, but it's time for a change. My husband and I will be traveling more now and are going to spend huge amounts of time with our 11, almost 12, grandchildren,” said Salopek.
