First Continental Leasing Changes its Name to BancorpSouth Equipment Finance

HATTIESBURG, MI – First Continental Leasing will change its name to BancorpSouth Equipment Finance as of July 1, 2006. First Continental Leasing, a division of BancorpSouth Bank, has worked with companies and municipalities for more than 20 years. The purpose of the name change is to better communicate BancorpSouth Equipment Finance’s full range of services and products to the equipment finance market. An additional reason is to reflect that the company is a subsidiary of BancorpSouth, an $11 billion financial service provider with a footprint stretching across the Mid-South.BancorpSouth Equipment Finance leases and finances many types of equipment for a wide variety of industries, including transportation, construction, petroleum, marine, manufacturing, and municipal – all ranging in size from small businesses to large corporations. BancorpSouth Equipment Finance’s municipal customers include city and county governments, schools, colleges, and publicly owned hospitals.BancorpSouth Equipment Finance has commercial offices operating in 12 states, including offices in Dallas; New Orleans; Jackson, Miss.; Hattiesburg, Miss.; Birmingham; Atlanta; Memphis; Nashville; Charlotte; and St. Louis. The corporate office is located in Hattiesburg, along with its municipal office. An additional office in Northwest Florida will open in August 2006.
