June 20, 2006

DES PLAINES, IL – Wheels, Inc., a leader in the multi-billion-dollar fleet-leasing industry, has won a Stevie Award for Best Overall Company in The 2006 American Business Awards, the only national, all-encompassing business awards program honoring top workplace performances. Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word “crowned,” the awards were presented during ceremonies on Mon., Jun. 12 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. The ceremonies were hosted by CNN business news anchor Ali Velshi, videocast live on the Internet and broadcast nationwide on radio. “We are pleased and privileged to be honored as a Stevie winner,” said Jim Frank, Wheels President and CEO. “We have an organization-wide commitment to understanding the needs of our clients and building ongoing programs that help them achieve measurable success. Everyone at Wheels appreciates this recognition of our dedication to doing what’s right for the customer. Wheels was honored as Best Overall Company in the category of companies with up to 2,500 employees — the largest group competing for any of the awards. Wheels was recognized based on its commitment to delivering premier customer service, satisfaction, and measurable success. The company has consistently demonstrated fast response to customer needs with new products and services as well as the ability to leverage technology to enable business innovation. More than 1,500 entries from companies of all sizes were submitted for consideration for a Stevie Award. Members of the Awards’ Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs selected Stevie winners from among the finalists. Finalists were chosen by business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging earlier this year. Other firms receiving top honors in a variety of categories included Microsoft Corporation, Northrup Grumman Corporation, CapitalOne,, and Honeywell International.
