Fire Destroys Van Fleet

TRUMBULL, CT – On Mar. 28, an early-morning fire at American Chaircar Service destroyed 14 wheelchair vans. The fire is being investigated as possible arson. Damage estimates are projected to be at $560,000, according to the Connecticut Post.Through contracts with the state and private clientele, the company brings patients to appointments with doctors and treatments. Currently, the business serves an average of 70 to 90 clients a day, six days a week. The vans were parked overnight in the company parking lot when the fire broke out, according to the report.
