Walsh to Retire From ABM Industries

SAN FRANCISCO – Ellie Walsh, vice president and director, administrative services for ABM Industries in San Francisco, will retire Feb. 28 after 37 years with the company, 30 of them with fleet. The ABM fleet consists of about 3,000 units, roughly two-thirds light-duty trucks and one-third cars. Walsh’s administrative services responsibilities covered nine disciplines, including fleet management, national account purchasing, travel, and facility services, among others. Walsh joined ABM in 1969 as a secretary in the Janitorial Division. In 1977, she moved to the District of Columbia office of the Janitorial Division, then back to San Francisco as assistant to the vice president of administration. ABM Industries has annualized revenues of $2.4 billion and 73,000 employees.
