TRALA Rental Tax Exemption Bill Passes Alaska Legislation

ALEXANDRIA, VA – TRALA-sponsored legislation to exempts truck weighing more than 8,500 pounds from a 10 percent vehicle rental tax was passed by Alaska legislature Jan. 11. Senate Bill 174 was introduced at TRALA’s request after the Alaska Department of Revenue imposed the state’s passenger vehicle rental tax on rentals of all vehicles weighing less than 26,000 lbs.
