Mitsubishi Fuso Appoints Schaaf To Top Operations Post

LOGAN TOWNSHIP, NJ – John R. Schaaf has been named senior vice president of operations for Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America, Inc. (MFTA). Schaaf was formerly regional vice president of the company’s Western region. In his new role, Schaaf will be responsible for directing the company's sales, service, parts, and distribution operations. He takes over for Robert E. McDowell, who was recently promoted to president and CEO of MFTA.Schaaf comes to his new position with more than 30 years of experience dedicated to the truck industry, having worked for Mercedes-Benz and Isuzu before joining MFTA in October 1994. His first assignment within MFTA was as a district sales manager in Florida. He was promoted and moved to the company’s Western region as regional vice president, where he oversaw sales operations for 16 Western states. He remained in that position until his current promotion.
